Why we design solutions, not services

A service solves one problem. A solution removes the coordination the client would otherwise have to do themselves.

There is a version of this business that sells transfers, and hotel bookings, and guides, each priced separately. It is a simpler business to run. It is also one that quietly hands the hardest part back to the client.

Because the hard part is not any single service. It is the seam between them: the driver who does not know the flight is delayed, the hotel that has no record of the late arrival, the guide waiting somewhere the client was never told about.

What integration actually means

Clients are not looking for isolated services. They seek complete, seamless and trusted solutions that solve a need from beginning to end.

In practice that means one team holds the whole picture: the schedule, the partners, the contingencies, and a single point of contact who already knows the context when something moves.

The test

A useful test of whether something is a solution or a bundle of services: when a flight is delayed by four hours, how many people does the client have to call?

If the answer is more than zero, it was a bundle.
